I don't Don, I'm a socialist veggie. Just have to have a slight chuckle at those "if you vote Tory you hate poor people and babies" type of statements

True that though , Tories rank alongside slugs and Canadians for me ! Utter horrors !I don't Don, I'm a socialist veggie. Just have to have a slight chuckle at those "if you vote Tory you hate poor people and babies" type of statements
It's not nonsense, though. If you're a Tory Evertonian you endorse a party that hates the vast, vast majority of our local fanbase.
I'm not from Liverpool but my folks are. I've never felt a great affinity with the city anyway, but I think you're right - Liverpool folk REALLY over-rate the city. It's an ok city, and its had modest success over the years in various forms. But you'd think it was absolutely the most important city on the planet. All us scousers are a little bit kopites deep down
Been 50 years and we still talk about the Beatles like it still happens today. Pretty much about past success and reminding everyone we used to be boss at something.
Perhaps us blues are the ones who are the odd ones out in the city.......maybe?
Agree with that, but I can't stand the Beatles either as a group or as they came or come across as people.,no take George out of that he seemed ok.Being a Tory and being an Everton fan are two things that are incompatible.
You can't call yourself a blue and support a party that has repeatedly shown disdain and contempt for the city of Liverpool.
Leg it.
I am a scouser a proud lid.If scousers are going to take a bit of flak for being defensive about Liverpool, it's also worth remembering why many have this disdain for how they've been treated by the UK and some of its institutions.
I am a scouser a proud lid.
