Pork of course, the snorker of choice for generations of Whitebootmen. I do like the odd spiced/flavoured one from time to time.

I'm reading 'The Cruel Sea' again atm - it features a thoroughly unpleasant Australian Lieutenant who besides being the most obnoxious member of the crew, greets every meal of tinned sauasages that are served up at sea with the words "Snorkers!! Good-oh!!" Is this the word all aussies use for sausages?

Btw, pork everytime but it has to have some bite to it and be thick enough to enjoy - can't be doing with chipolatas.

*Awaits inevitable knob jokes*

I don't know about the aussies treb, I'm Kirkby born & bred, I got the word from my time in the navy where sausages were always called snorkers.
