Was thrown in at the deep end in a crap side with no plan, system or style, and then hardly played at all.

Got a few run outs under both Unsy and Allardyce but was in and out of the squad, a lot like Vlasic, Lookman etc.

Then he went on loan.

Hasn't said a bad word about the club other than he found it very difficult to settle and the managerial situation.

He's looked like a leper for Sevilla - every bit as bad as he was here

He has looked crap but he looked ace for Malaga and very good for Spain's u21s.

Maybe because he was playing in a system that suited him... If he can't adapt to other systems that's an obvious flaw.

For me he should be given a second chance. He was carrying an injury and thrown in against some of the top 6 sides having to play as a no9 with a team playing long balls when the season before he was playing as an inside left cutting in on to his right foot and for a team that passed and moved.
