Why would he accept a transfer here and then not even try to adjust?

Well i'm only guessing of course, I don't know him. I just always have the niggling feeling that he had his heart set on Atletico Madrid. But obviously he couldn't go there, and we offered him an insane wage. So here he is. Then he saw it was a lot tougher playing against Ryan Shawcross than Barry McSpaniard at Getafe, and that was that.

He makes the weirdest runs and takes up the oddest positions I think i've ever seen a forward do.

But yet....I still think there is a player in there, and he will score loads when back in Spain again.

So we are giving up on a young player who has already proved himself in a league which contains the worlds best teams. A player who has come into a dysfunctional team which provides next to no service to its forwards.
Meanwhile we are signing a 27 year old German born Turk whose main attribute seems to be that he works hard and is loved by Besiktas fans, a kind of Turkish Niasse if you will.
No wonder we are seemingly consigned to perpetual mid table obscurity.

You suggest playing a fella who’s looked comically bad so far instead of spending big money on someone else, then say it’s no wonder we’re mediocre?

YES! THIS

Been banging on about this all season to my mate that I sit with. His movement is just so weird and unintelligent - the runs he makes are bizarre and 90% of the time they're completely wrong. For a lad who has been brought through the Barca academy, it's even stranger

He looked a quality player in a far, far better league than the Turkish one, is my argument. He hasn’t been given the chance to settle and his opportunities have , understandably given the dysfunctional state of the rest of our team, been rare.
I do believe he will prove to be a top striker in a few years time when this expensive but largely unexceptional Turk has been long forgotten.
Time will tell.

Neither would make any sense if it's true he wants to go back to Spain tho. Certainly not the actions of someone who thinks he's all that, and he's gonna have to take a big pay cut. Is he even actually on anything like £120k? I seriously doubt it.
I think he looked at us and saw a team playing in the EL without a recognised striker and assumed he'd be a weekly starter, when that didn't happen, rather than fight for his place he just wants out.Obviously we don't see him in training but the fact he isn't really pushing Niasse and DCL for a place says a lot.

We're taking a punt on someone that scores 1 in 2 games in Turkey versus someone that scored 1 in 2 games in Spain.

I know. I’m not saying this Tosun fella will be any good. But something obviously needs to be done, and spending £27m is at least showing some ambition.

What you angry about pal? Other than the baldness like

If you read back, you'll find that all I said was that small players have to play against the same grocky defenders whether they play for a good team or a bad team

Yeah but you're making out it's just as easy to look good in our team as it is in a good team, which it isn't.

Nice personal attack mate. Are you angry about being as ugly as you are stupid?

The Turkish league might not be very good, but imo apart from a bout 5 teams in Spain the rest are dire, most championship level that's why he scored a fair few there. Loan him to Leeds and he would do ok, the premier league is a different level from any other league in the world.
