Sandhills station

just had a listen seems if a new station if any may be looked at once all the houses ear marked for the Vauxhall area are built.
he did seem slightly arrogant in response to some questions ie people don't understand these issues better than me is the impression i got.

So Phase 1 is the cattle pens , Phase 2 the footbridge and Phase 3 is yet to come but I din't hear him say what's included in Phase 3 . Did I miss something ?

Ah, this reminds me of the tram debate. As Mayor Steve went massive for the "trackless trams" the exact same as Belfast Gliders, AKA BRT (Bus Rapid Transit).
(The clue being in the acronym BUS rapid transit), they are not trams, they are extended buses, (bendy buses).

Due to the ever so slightly negative response to his proposal he then later changed his story to say trams might come later we just need to get this first. Phase 1 ;)

Trams will never come not on his watch. He wants to come up with solutions but it's all cheap and quick fixes. Same with train stations.

I’ve been told the council spent £2 million on that
Could well believe it, £1.95m on planning, consultants, engineering, then £5 getting it done. Its the same with politicians everywhere you go, they don`t spend much tax payers money but they waste it by the lorry load.
Over in Dublin we got a bike shelter for €330k.

He took no responsibility, thought he deserved credit for helping Everton out even though he's a Red - and then started saying he didn't want to hear from us about negative things he already knew about. Like we'd magically know what those things are.

This man's PR skills are staggeringly bad.
And yet he has the highest job security in the country. He's been a shocking mayor. Hopefully this stadium debacle opens a few eyes to him

Can’t wait to see how near 25k fans are going to navigate Sandhills station with Sunday train times at the next event, recipe for disaster.
Think the irritating thing is, word will have gotten out, so nobody will use Sandhills. Everyone will use alternatives, there won't be any scenes, or none as bad as we think and Rotherham will point and say 'look, all good, what we' re you moaning about.'

Disgusting set of circumstances but not surprising given this council.
