He wants out, Sampdoria are desperate for him and have been telling the press he's going there for weeks. Everton haven't agreed he can go (or if they have they haven't agreed on compensation.

If Coleman suddenly wanted to go to ManU and ManU told the press they had agreed terms with him and the only problem was Everton not cancelling his contract so he could go for free you'd complain.

Not getting a game in an average side behind average players and getting played out of position when he does get on? Would do it for anyone...good luck to him I say.
indeed, that's why he wants out, doesn't mean we rip up players contracts and let them walk out whenever he feels like it without protecting our investment or getting in a replacement before he goes

Sampdoria either want him for free or as good as (he's still got 1.5 years left on his contract remember) , or we don't want to let him go before we have a replacement.
Either way for Sampdoria to be wailing and stamping their feet is ridiculous. If it goes on any longer we should offload him to another Italian Club instead.

Agreed. Which is what we are doing hence the delay. The quality of replacement is my concern.

Hate how Sampdoria handling this transfer. Sell Eto'o to US for free just to piss them off.

Price should defo go up if not. Extra few hundred grand for acting like bad bells.

So if we are messing them around

Or just wanting to make sure we've got adequate cover for when he leaves? Or reaching an agreement with him over the cancellation of his contract? Or just considering all our options? We don't have to sell him when they see fit, he's our player.

It should be a top quality replacement even if it's only until the rest of the season on loan. Needs to be someone who can impart a bit of knowledge and have an impact on the pitch. I've already said I'd like to see it being David Villa until the MLS start up again but I'm sure there are other names that fit the bill.

Or we are just dragging our heels in the hope we find someone rather than already have a player in negotiations.

Suarez left liverpool despite them hoping he would change his mind and stay. Strikes me as a similar situation except we havent got the money they had to panic buy a replacement.

But consider this, we cant bring in a player on loan until we let eto'o go. Yet we arent letting him go until we replace him.

Do yuo know where is now Etoò? Is he training with your squad? Italians newspapers say he is in Paris, in Milan, in Genoa... LOL

Yep the same board that managed to get £27.5m for Fellaini, £24m for Lescott, £10m for Andy Johnson...

Say what you like about our board but its true when we say Everton dont sell cheap.
really nothing to be proud of though is it ? what's the point in making a lot of money when it's not re-invested substantially

it's taken the recent influx of TV cash before we made a significant splash in the transfer market

say what you like about our board but they don't like putting their hands in their pockets
