Sky Italia are saying there is a hitch in the deal over Etooo,they reckon Sampodoria can't find out who is the owner of Everton, BBC gossip.
 

Sampdoria insist Samuel Eto’o wants to join them, but “nobody can figure out who is in charge at Everton.”

The transfer saga is dragging on, as Samp announced via several interviews over the last few days that Eto’o had agreed terms for a transfer.

They were waiting for him to extricate himself from the Everton contract, but that is taking far longer than expected.

“I haven’t been working in football for long and can say this is a weird working environment,” said Sampdoria President – and movie producer – Massimo Ferrero on Sky Sport Italia.

“People say one thing and then do another. Nobody can figure out who is in charge at Everton, but we are getting to a breakthrough.

“What are the chances of the move happening? Let’s be prudent and say 50 per cent. Eto’o is a reliable man and is very eager to come to Samp. We’re down to the last details.”

Another player who Roberto has used terribly this season. I mean did he even play 1 game up front?

Etoo, Barkley, Naismith, all used poorly this season.

Lakaku, was struggling early season. Etoo could of helped out up top. He also at times (arsenal games) has been devastating playing from the right in a 3 man attack. Etoo could of been central.

Me thinks Etoo knows this man is a fraud and so wants out of a sinking ship. Me thinks RM knows Etoo doesn't buy his bull sh!t and would rather see him go than be questioned.
 
The only time I've been glad of the incompetent running of EFC.

You can't find out who runs Everton? Neither can we, Sampdoria. Now do one, you absolute no-marks.

Or, the simple, less paranoid answer - his wife and kids are over there and he wants to be with them...

No. Etoo said from the start that if any Italian club comes in he's free to leave, as his kids are in Milan...
 
Just out of interest, does anyone know if he's gone away with the rest of the squad, or is he been left here/in Italy? Havne't seen anything mentioned...

From beginning this was about Etoo. He came cause had this option. Player of his stature can negotiate these little quarks. It was just a little fling...ta Samwise. Off you go now.
