close the door behind you eto, nothing but a major disappointment and a mercenary.

Let's not rewrite history here, we're not kopites.

He was good when used properly, not his fault the manager decided he should play 90 minutes in midfield. Whenever he came on to try and unlock tight defences, he always looked like creating something. That through ball to Coleman in the Sunderland game comes to mind straight away.

I think calling him a mercenary is particularly harsh, I never got the impression he didn't care. He's not the same player he was 7 or 8 years ago, sure, but that doesn't make him a mercenary.

He clearly doesn't want to be here anymore, might as well get rid for as high a price as possible. No point in keeping him now as his head has been turned.

Need to get rid ASAP in order to reinvest any funds in a new striker this January. Pity Defoe has been snapped up to be honest

Has Joe Royle got a Deloreon with a flux capacitor in it?
Didn't see one in his drive when I drove past last week, but @Morag has a Ford Focus with a packet of Monster Munch in, if that helps?

Chill about Eto'o lads, not the end of the world if he goes and it looks like we want someone to replace him before he goes so in fact we may come out of this with more attacking options.
