@tancredipalmeri: Sampdoria official account just tweeted that deal with Eto'o is almost done and now the player is finding a solution with Everton

Eto'o can see Genova on the horizon, Sampdoria as his destination. As previously reported, Sampdoria director Osticonfirmed that there was optimism. After a day filled doubts and tension, in the last few minutes progress has been made: the deal is expected to be done tomorrow. Eto'o will probably arrive in Italy on Thursday, to finally kick off this new adventure.

What solution? Probably ask us not to seek for a transfer fee you cunning tit...

Also states that Everton are looking for a replacement.

From the express website

Eto'o, 33, has agreed an 18-month contract with Sampdoria and is ready to cut his wages by 40 percent to play in Italy.

The Cameroonian only joined Everton five months ago after being released by Chelsea.

And the only hurdle in his move to Sampdoria now is Everton's determination to line up a striker before they let their striker go.

Osti told Sky Italia: "Our agreement with Eto'o has almost been finalised.

"He wants to join Sampdoria, those are his intentions.

"He is currently negotiating with Everton to resolve his contract with them.

"Everton are looking for a replacement.

"It might take a day more than expected, but we are moderately optimistic on Eto'o and hope he can arrive as soon as possible.

"I think Eto'o is a player of great character who can only help this group of mature players grow even more."

Sounds like the club want a fee to cover the privileged 6 month period of us having a former world superstar.

If we're getting a replacement in maybe fatboy Ronaldo or George Weah? Both used to be World Player of the years and neither would have a fee attached?
