He wouldnt have come here at all if we wouldnt have allowed that clause...so pipe down....if this is true to begin with
I very much doubt a multi million pound deal would hinge on a gentlemen's agreement. If he was that arsed he'd have had it put on his contract.

ofcourse it would. these veterans who are like mercenaries - great reputation and trophys all over - can demand all kinds of clauses with happy face, and teams that feel they can probs benefit from their sevices fro a while are alright with that. it's simple logic.

If he wanted it that much, to the point where joining or not joining depends on it, he would absolutely want it written in stone.
