Depending on who we get drawn with in the Europa league, I think Eto'o will prove to be a particularly important asset for us in that competition. He's not lost it, and will score goals in the league, but I think he'll be most effective continentally.

Him through the middle flanked by McGeady and Atsu makes a lot of sense in theory. Eto'o and Mcgeady have fairly recent knowledge of playing v Eastern European teams while Atsu was out on loan last season in Holland.

Yeah, Lukaku + Mirallas and Naismith all have European experience too but which trio would you rather start league games with?

Yep. He was most impressive (not necessarily in regards to goals but his all-round play) in the CL last season. He'll be a brilliant asset and option in europe.

This lad is going to be invaluable in Europe, I think that's when he will be most useful. A champions
League place for the winners of the uefa like...

Paul Jewell slyly questioning Sam being 33 on Sky (before being asked to 'move on') & waffling about a 2 year deal. Perhaps the kopite gs should have been reminded that Geelaaar is 34 (allegedly).

How bitter was he and Paul Walsh? Seriously why ask the opinion of anyone associated with that filth across the park.
Dowie gave a sensible opinion. Younger than Drogba and brings a wealth of experience to a group of promising youngsters.

If you would have told me a year ago we would have Lukaku and Eto'o on full contracts I would have thought you where this guy
