If he gets a lot of games in and doesn't upset the applecart we cant lose out here.

I have my doubts about his attitude and motives to be honest, but it's nice to have another forward in. Hopefully it doesn't stop there and we get another one in. We need it.
he has never had any attitude problems.. I bet you pray for things to go wrong..

Will do less running than Barry, so goose meet gander.
Experience across Europe in every competition (although not quite every league), ok.
Another body to absorb some of the kicks and knocks the rest of the front line have had to endure. Great.
On his day a darned fine player that built his reputation on being a master technician. Marvellous.

Bags the open goal against Chelsea he should have scored in the same fixture last season, that'll do nicely.

Hopefully the contract will be just right so as to allow Hallam Hope (or another) time to get up to speed, see whats required and do the learning under a player that could pass on the skills and intelligence required to be a top European striker.

For the first time in 20 years we have proven winners in our team, just his presence in the changing room will boost our squad.

Exactly. The lads who are injured will be going mad trying to get fit again and be on the same pitch as him......if he does a shirt signing they'll run out of shirts......

Depending on who we get drawn with in the Europa league, I think Eto'o will prove to be a particularly important asset for us in that competition. He's not lost it, and will score goals in the league, but I think he'll be most effective continentally.

Him through the middle flanked by McGeady and Atsu makes a lot of sense in theory. Eto'o and Mcgeady have fairly recent knowledge of playing v Eastern European teams while Atsu was out on loan last season in Holland.

Yeah, Lukaku + Mirallas and Naismith all have European experience too but which trio would you rather start league games with?
