I'd have been dead against this if he had of come straight from Anzhi, as it looked like his career was on the decline, but he actually looked quite sharp at Chelsea last season. It's a stop gap, but an experienced, classy one.
 

not our money, but it would effect the team....if someone comes in earning way more than everyone else than it will plss players off....

also, if the rumour of 100k a week for 2 years is true, then that's £10.4m gonne from our transfer budget....i'd rather see us spend that on a younger player who in 2 years time might be worth alot more...

I know what you mean, but I'm certain the club wouldn't be paying mental wages for him.

It would be so un-Everton for that to happen.
