Hmmm I get the feeling we won't see another striker in to replace him this Jannuary, more than likely will wait till the summer and go with Rom and Kone, with Naismith and even Miralass as the back up and Emergancy options.

Makes me optimistic tho that Roberto has a really good winger/wide player up his sleeve to treat us with. If we did sign such player, Ross and naismith would be just fighting it out for the central role.

Andre Shurlle anyone? Haha I wish!!!

Lukaku goes down and it is the worst striker situation we have had in forever I can remember...very poor squad management.
I haven't read through he details but can we make him stay until the Summer?
It's definitely not the worst striker situation we've had. A few years ago we had Fellaini playing up top on his own due to injuries.
Also, I'm sure I remember years ago we had right back(?) Steve Watson playing as a striker.

For his influence I don't think he's worth 50-100k a week...
£55k per week is hardly extortionate these days, especially when were paying Kone nearly £40k ffs.

He could have notched a goal that might have been priceless to the clubs history in the EL, we'll never know now.

You have a short memory. I remember us having Cahill as our only striker.

Kone at least is actually a striker.

Of course if both are injured then we're fecked.

Oh yes. Great reminder. That was definitely a shocker. Happy to stand corrected! ;)

Could have been worse. You forgotten about his hat trick?!
