I'm thinking of starting a series, next episode is 'Is Roberto Martinez the Solution?', where I discuss him being on a small retainer, maybe £1m a season, to produce Skype sessions with the players ONLY on attacking (if he starts talking about anything else we 'pull the plug' as it were).

Spammy Lee used to walk his dogs on the golf course by us and drinks in one of the pubs that I drink in - he likes a drink or several.

As far as just being a normal fella when he's out and out about goes, he's sound.

Other than that I couldn't possibly comment on the other stuff.

No I know this is a wind up thread but I wouldn't really care who a manager wanted to appoint , within reason , we've had them score for us and even part of trophy winning sides . You have to back a manager , I'd have lost no sleep over him as a coach despite his previous and despite what I'd shouted at him in the past .

Manager would almost certainly be something else but a coach I could certainly cope with .

He sometimes drinks in The Storrsdale (south end pub for those of you unfortunate enough to inhabit the northern wastelands) and can be heard extolling Koeman's virtues in there. He really rates him, as in best manager ever, hasn't seen a better one.
