I actually feel Sam was a victim of his own success in a way.

Had he saved us and got us 15th or 16th, he would have gone anyway, but faced nowhere near the level of vitriol as he has in finishing 8th because a certain section of fans want to ensure he cant justify staying on.

You're right. It's a terribly sad outcome for a very decent man lol:celebrate:

But meanwhile, while we are prattling around, West Ham and co are lining up the managers we may have wanted...

Wouldn't worry about that. We won't start looking for a new manager later this week after we've sacked allardyce, we'll have been looking longer than them for a manager.

We've been interested in fonseca for two years, West ham have been interested for two minutes.

We're about to sack Allardyce, but in true Everton style, our next, seemingly straight forward appointment, due to being a free agent has 'complications'.

I'm sure Everton just look for the path of most resistance in everything they do.

If it looks like we have to pay a single penny to Watford (which is the vibe i’m getting), then we should just move on from Silva. Sick of us getting rinsed for/by managers

Now it’s real:dance:

Not yet bruv. But old Stone Cold has just stunned the Untertaker and he's landed in the ringside coffin. All Austin needs to do now is nail it shut and he's won the title. Metaphorically speaking of course.
