Ho ho, excellent call there mate.
I don’t know if the ITK are telling the truth about Sam and we will never know for sure as it’s 50/50, some of them are going to be wrong.
I was told by someone who works at FF he was going and I have no reason not to believe the person. As I don’t see why the person would lie.
Do that person really know? I don’t no but I choose to believe that person.
All the facts point to him going as well, no public board backing, even at the Dixie’s Kenwright never said anything to imply he was staying.
The survey where he would probably have got a very poor score.
The crowd on Saturday giving him loads, the last few away games he had chants against him.
Everton’s FB and Twitter gets loads every time they post against him

You're obviously more tolerant than most in here.

Can't stand him personally.

Don't mistake the post for me liking him, or me wanting him to stay. I just think in the grand scheme of things there are others more deserving of your anger, Walsh, Moshiri, Kenwright, Elstone, all people that have overseen the gradual destruction of the club for a far greater period than Allardyce.

I've come to the realisation that I don't really get the Sam hate, he has done the job he was asked to do and it's as simple as that.

I appreciate that will be met with a barrage of "Oh but he doesn't get Everton" or "He's so negative and talks us down". Maybe the issue is that we think we're something we're not and we have no divine right to be top 6 or top 8, maybe we just don't like hearing someone tell us the cold hard facts of where we are as a club?

I don't like the fact that he's associated with the club, I think we can all agree on that, but he can't have done a great deal more than he has and he's been completely honest about where we are and what we can achieve. I get that we want him gone and I agree with that sentiment, but I don't get the hate and those frothing at the mouth with rage.
My loathing is slowly becoming apathy.

I can hardly muster a "greedy bisto guzzling bas***d" when I think of him.

Can we move to the Lidl car park in Kirby under Big Scam and just milk the tv cash cow and then participate in progressively worse and worse flirtations with relegation until we implode with a tired whimper and slide into the netherworlds of the Lutons and Readings and their ilk.

Because that's where we'll be heading once we stop wanting to be amongst the best. I'm not even that old and I can remember actually wanting to be the best team.

That's why the Sam hate. He symbolises everything that is wrong with Everton. A backwards thinking reactionary who only has it in him to aspire to the better realms of mediocrity. But with an extra whiff of corruption covered in the gravy of contempt for the fans. It might not be him who caused the problems but if you'd got Dr Frankenstein to create a monster to represent Everton at the moment then he'd be hard pressed to come up with better Big Scam.

Booooooo Everton. Boooooo.

I think it's a huge factor, especially when you think, their goalkeeper is worse than ours, and their defence is not really any better than ours, and their midfield consists of yard dogs like Henderson and Milner.
Yes its almost like they have people at the club who actually improve players, make them play better than the sum of their parts. Maybe we should try it.

Oh the fume from various things contributes to the reaction Allardyce gets, Burnley being better than us, that lot in the CL final, poor signings, Lookman going out on loan etc etc

But if you isolate those things how many is he responsible for in comparison to the level of stick he gets? Anger is being diverted largely at the wrong man.

Just purely for aguments sake.
Burnley are above us is down to those 2 winnable away games against Burnley & watford were we got 0 points- the watford game, they were there for the taking, and the Burnley one, we retreated after dominating the first half, Burnley had never come back from a goal down in the premier league and were on an abismal run, i know you cna blame Keane & Pickford for errors, but he persisted with Williams in tohse games, geared up to make defensive substitutions.

The Lookman scenario is down to Allardyce too, he didnt play the lad, he came in for the derby, changed the game, what more did allardyce want, he dropped him from the match day squad for the next game, and i dont think used him again, of course the lad wanted out.

But then we'd have been in the EL qualifiers, starting the season in June and needing another massive squad. I love European games but at this point, the squad needs a proper rest, a decent preseason and a big reduction in numbers.

Bravo, Yarg.

A brilliant post

Mary Shelley would be well impressed ;)

We can play about with scenarios all you like in terms of points we did and didn't deserve, we deserved nothing against Liverpool or Newcastle for instance, yet we took 4 points. It's a bit like the imaginary league table the kopites create to show them winning the league in 27 different ways except the one that matters.

Disagree, use it for players who could use the game time, sort of an "everton b" until it got serious, especially at htis part of the summer , when certain players wouldnt be getting there loans or exits from the club

New Gk/Stek
Kenny
Robinson
Holgate
Mori
Baningime
Williams
klaassen
Lookman
Calvert Lewin
Dowell

We lose, nothing really lost apart from a few europa trips, these players wont play week in week out or will be sold/loaned a little later on, plus none will be in any summer tournaments (bar Mori) so we could easily field this team and qualify

The danger is if a new manager comes in has a bad run then people are calling for his head too...
If a new manager comes in and outlines his vision for the club and the style of play he wants to adopt and then he buys players and uses tactics to suit that vision then I would suggest most fans would be patient.
I would rather be 7 th and playing attractive football with the feeling there is a plan in place than watch Pickford launch missiles 20 times every game and still be 7th
7th is the highest we can ever aspire to under Allardyce due to expected defeats

Its a dire competition and quite frankly I could live without it. No chance are you going to compete in the EL whilst challenging for a CL place, especially with the squad we have. IMO Its a massive hindrance on the season ahead and unless they change the schedule/format it will always be a squad burner..
