That BBC article yesterday said that on average 36.75 points, or something very similar is usually enough to keep a team up. Nine games left, would it be unthinkable that we won't scrape the necessary points needed?
I can only say that with Allardyce running things, the London Stadium last game of the season could well be one of the most defining days in our history.

I'm no longer confident we will get there. We now must, must beat Brighton, or we are in the deepest poo poo

Swansea have just scored to squeeze the bottom half even further.

A spurs supporting mate said 'Quit your crying, you're still midtable and not getting relegated.'

We're 9th and can drop no lower than about 11th this weekend, but we're not mid-table in any sense other than the position. We're 41 points from top and only 14 points off bottom (both have a game in hand). 23 pts from top 3 and 7 from bottom 3, with all teams below us yet to play.

Midtable means damn all.

Silva oh Silva where are you hidind? You handsome little devil. You are probably another clueless manager, but your good looks will go down well here.

Judging by the number of people on here who sound like they are about to top themselves the attendance against Brighton might fall. Mind you Arsenal showed 58,000 for their last home game, when less than 30,000 turned up. That's because they had all paid in advance.

so clever to sub the striker when you get beaten in the midfield, can pass 3 balls and if you win the ball you directly longpass to opponent defence.
cuz striker is the key that you can’t create goals from those deadballs.
then u get rooney in sigurd out for playing with ball more with niasse and dcl upfront.
it won’t work? then you can chew your gum more hard and ignore the field. maybe think someone to blame.

More from Everton manager Sam Allardyce: "We missed too many chances, that's the bottom line. And we let in two very simple goals. The first one is a simple ball, Ashley Williams and Michael Keane should deal with that easily.

"When Burnley haven't won in 11, you can imagine how tense they were but we have gifted the game to them.

"Burnley played the ball better than we did in the second half. We knew exactly what they do, we knew we had to deal with that but we didn't.

"No complaints with the red card, you can't do that. It was unprofessional from Ashley Williams.

"This is the most chances we have created away form home since I've been here but we still failed to score more than one. We have taken 17 points from eight games at home but we have put huge pressure on ourselves now."

Strange, i only count 14 from 7 home games, unless he ism counting the west ham game again which no one media wise has yet pulled him up about...

also have the feeling that number isn't gonna get much higher with city and the derby upcoming...
