It's just a shame that when he goes we can't wipe his name from our history.
Don't like the way we are playing away from home it is dismal indeed.....
But he is doing what he was brought in to do & he is not a poor manager...
His image has been tarnished & he is not my idea of an Everton manager but tell me who would you put in his place if you were to sack him...?
Guardiola should have earned his corn at managing someone like Sabaddell as well, would have become a much better manager and earned the right for a big job etc. What where Barca thinking god knows really.
Same as Ajax hiring Cruyff soon as he retired from playing in the US, should have made him show he could manage first etc.
Three of the top 6 managers in this league - Pocch, Wenger and Guardiola - who all have worked with him as a player wanted him as soon as he retired from playing, the people who run the coaching courses and people on it have said he was the best theyve ever had come through that.
Sometimes talent beats experience
Madrid are manged by someone with no experience prior - he won the CL ofc with them straight away, Milan are similarly managed by a first timer in Gattuso and have seen there season turn around and he's showing he has the ability now.
Simeone for example had managed never in Europe when Athletico came calling, huge gamble as not having managing in Argentina prepares you any better for managing Athletico than say for example being an assistant manager as that team would do, etc etc etc
Sick of saying this but, when Allardyce took over we were 5 pts above relegation, after his 14 games we are 7 pts above relegation, so were 2 pts better off since he took over, now if he's still here at the end of the season the gap between us and relegation maybe be bigger, but at this moment in time it's 2 pts, so what he was brought in to do he's bettered us by a couple of points.
Allardyce is not my choice of manager so let's get that quite clear....
However we were in real trouble before the West ham game make no mistake about that...
My point is I have no doubt we will finish top ten, so if we sack Allardyce for finishing top ten we better have a long term plan with a manager dedicated to the cause...
The great man took charge after the West Ham game - not before it. By then we were 5 points clear of the relegation spots and in 13th place.
True...but Allardyce was in the stands & must of had a big influence on the result....
We were in trouble of that there is no doubt...
Fact is do Everton sack a manager for finishing in the top ten...?

Gattuso isn’t a first time manager.

While i do agree with you, the big difference is that we are at a lower point than all those clubs....more to lose we have really.
He had only been Everton's Manager for a few hours and it wasn't even announced till the next day. He had barely spoken to anyone at the Club and spectated the Match from the directors box. The notion that he could possibly have had anything to do with Everton beating West Ham that day is completely ludicrous. He had no impact on that game whatsoever and is trying to steal credit for it because he is that sort of person and because of his absolutely abysmal record with us to date which is lower than both Koeman and Martinez which takes some believing.
Of course we sack him. Do you enjoy what he is serving up? If not, then there is your answer.True...but Allardyce was in the stands & must of had a big influence on the result....
