I want Allardyce gone, I never wanted him in, but I don't think that binning him to bring in Silva is the right thing. I'm going to turn up to home games, watch away games and just amble through the rest of the season . Hopefully things change quickly in the summer. We need things to begin to turn around about 5 mins after the final whistle of the final game.

Friend?

I'd like to repent.

I wanted Sam. I was in despair. Thought we'd go down. I panicked.

I now know I was part of the problem.

That it's this very panic mentioned above that breeds the notion that "only Sam can save you".

I am sorry.

Tears in my eyes reading this.

Come forth all, repent your sins and you shall not be judged for your previous.

With it being a World cup summer, if we do our usual Everton fannying about taking ages, we will be in trouble very quickly next season.
If he's going, jib him off now, cos he could fluke a derby win and get kept on.

Oh! Oh! if he gets us a derby win he can stay for at least a year such would be the depth of my gratitude. Can you imagine the joy of the following week? Must be worth a year with Sam? Maybe not.

Can't take much more of this. I was giving Allardyce more of a chance than most. But stuff like going for a 0-0 against a terrible Watford team and then all the post-match comments just do him no favours. That's without going into the style of football. The weekend was actually one of the first times this season where I've felt the players were being stifled by the tactics. Up to now they've generally looked too inept to do anything else.

Sadly this is all just a symptom of the underlying cause. Clueless footballing strategy off the pitch. It won't change with a new manager unless it's a fluke of Kenwright-stumbling-across-Moyes proportions.

I still cant accept he is our manager. I dont know if he was every any good, but his tactics are 2 decades too old, just like Pullis, yes I'm sure he could keep a team in the league and I guess he has done that. But Watford summed him up down to the ground. They make 2 positive subs to try and win the game, he gets a defence midfielder to warm up. Then he bemoans our lack of firepire whilst he has the bloke he spent £27m on the bench alongside DCL. Nice bit of motivation for the strikers!

@orly I feel that there may be many who wish to repent, could you refill the pool of healing waters and start a new thread of forgiveness please ?

Imagine getting paid £6m with the instruction to achieve HOME wins v West Ham, Huddersfield, West Brom, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Southampton and Newcastle United. You also have another 12+ games that you can basically get smashed in, as long as you get 40+ points.

With a squad costing more than half the leagues teams and a transfer window to spend in (January)

I am sorry but I would back myself and most on here to be able to achieve that.

Makes me sick to the core what Everton and indeed football has become.

SIX MILLION QUID!

Like many, I thought it quite funny when we were grinding out results and getting horrible penalties.

His words about Food Banks were quite good too but ultimately, there is a pattern to his play and it's been obvious to anyone who has ever watched multiple years of him in the Barclays Premier League.

He won't survive here, he was never destined to survive here and I think he can accept that.

Let's put a bit of pressure on the board and make our feelings felt about him from Saturday against Burnley until till the final whistle against West Ham in May.

That's why I never understood the panic and would have left Unsworth in charge myself until the right man became available.

I'm with you; I'm pretty sure that even I would have kept us up this season. I say that because I'm fairly sure having no manager and letting the players pick themselves would have seen us still stay up. The league is just that bad.

Maybe those others who credited Allardyce with the West Ham win, will be brave, and come forward to be forgiven of their sin orly.

I believe in forgiveness. I believe in confession.

I believe everyone who posted in support of Brown Envelope Bisto Man will, when they look inside themselves, say "sorry". They will say "I was wrong". They will say "can I borrow some swimmys, I've left my bag at home".

And we will say, Yes.
