Would tosun have fit inside an allardyce team once he was given money to build it rather than what we did afterwards which created the problem?
The pro and con of having allardyce here is a often tred conversation but the club did sack him extremely quickly rendering the likes of tosun surplus to requirements. Much the same way Silva's players didn't fit that well into ancelotti and the cumulation of the squad of several sacked managers not fitting into benitez and lampard side.
Teams like Chelsea sign players in spite of the manager so the next one can utilise the players better , we did the opposite and signed players to fit one specific system and then sacked the man who's system it was. Or we signed players based on agents suggestion above everyone's head and they have never fit until we got lucky.
For what it is worth allardyce would have did more than just top half finish as he would have changed the club from the inside the same way benitez wanted to. We may have even been in a better state now if we had backed him.
I thought he should of stayed at the time, my posts on here probably reflect that.
I thought another season would have likely gotten us Europa League, playing horrible football yes but we would of been in a better position

People blaming Sam for tosun when he was most definitely a moshiri signing … he came on sky sports boasting about how he had saw him do this and that … can’t pin that one on Sam
We would not have got Europa League. We would’ve finished between 8th and 12th again. And yes, I’d take that now before anyone starts, but that was 5 years ago and at the time that wasn’t progress.
Are you sure about the wage bill ? Thought we culled a lot of our high earners over the last couple of years. As for Sam and Frank, no contest Frank all day for me, let's see what we look like after the Winter transfer window, a striker and a winger.

I think we can firmly blame the fans for Allardyce going. It was quite clear he wasn't loved. Moshiri wants the fans happy doesn't he? So leaps at discontent.
