From what i have seen during his time at West Brom he was a 1 in 4 striker, roughly 1 in 3 at Newcastle. And whilst i appreciate that was a good while ago, he was always a decent striker. he isnt what any of us wanted, but nor was Gray or Townsend and they have both worked out OK so far. I am prepared to give the lad a chance, he may surprise us all?

A 32 year old free transfer coming from a Russian league, trying to escape from his Chinese club who don't want him and we are supposed to be paying him 100k per week... unlikely.

14 in 27 at Dalian. 4 in 10 whilst at CSKA on loan. Pretty much a 1 in 2 record since late 2019, albeit in two weaker leagues like.
Like every player when they first come in he'll get my backing mate, and like I always say about any player, if he does well then that means as a team we do well.
