Saints away

Long time lurker here. Flying down from Northern Norway for this (there are SOME people with intellegence in this country). We'll be in the home stand as well. Stupid question perhaps, but is it safe to flash my blue NEC retro-top at the match, or is it best to watch the game in neutral colors? I'm hoping to get tickets as close as possible to the away stand. And also: We're up for beers before the game! :)

I would be very happy if someone could answer this. Got seats just by the away stand, and I really wanna celebrate when we score! :)

If you want to go into the home stand with an everton shirt on and celebrate when everton score then you're welcome to but there's every chance you'll get thrown out if you do it.

I've sat in home ends before and I wouldn't risk getting thrown at after 20 minutes myself, but it's up to you.

I don't think it is mate.

I'll check.

The work will not affect the line between Southampton Central and London Waterloo until March 16, when services will end at Southampton Airport Parkway instead.
A rail replacement bus service will then transport passengers to Southampton Central and up to Bournemouth.
Buses will also replace train services between Central and St Denys and Woolston.
Services to Portsmouth will start and terminate at St Denys during the work.
The South West Trains service between Salisbury and Romsey via Southampton Central and Eastleigh while only run between Salisbury and Romsey.
First Great Western services will call at Eastleigh and Chandler's Ford instead of Southampton Central.

Just to be on the safe side, I'd swerve wearing an Everton top in the home end at an away game. Why tempt trouble?

Yeah, I know people who have been beaten up or chucked out for doing that.

And honestly I've always thought it was their own fault.

You sit in the other end and you have to be respectful.

My brothers going the S'land away in the home end with his step kid and son in law, first thing i said was 'don't wear ya top' lol

Never incite trouble when it is wise to avoid it, and sitting in the home end at an away game is just such a time. Keep your head down (noisy support-wise) and wear neutral colours...beige slacks, cream shirt and brown shoes. A tan parka or anorak if it's chilly.
