Saha wants new contract

A good pre-season could work wonders....but he needs to work harder when selected. Yes he can finish, but we need more effort out there. Pay as you play deal maybe....
 

From reading the article he still has another year on his contract so see how he does this year and if he proves he can stay injury free and contribute then fine

Sign him. He's happy, he's quality, and he's free. When comparing to Jo, he is so much more class. Pacier, dangerous with both feet, and good in the air. Jo might have him in passing but Jo doesn't look to me like he will ever be the finisher that Saha is.

The negotiations would certainly take his sick note status into account.
 
there wasn't much on this forum about his miss in the second half (unless i missed a 17 page thread somewhere) and it is obviously getting him down.

damn, it was a sitter though especially when we have seen him bury goals like that- fulham at goodison springs to mind.
 

He's the most skilful player we have, not the best, if he didn't get injured he would be one of the best. Give him another year to see how his injuries goes.
 
I'd like to see how he gets through pre-season first.

Quality player, no doubt about it. Even when he's half fit.
 
If theres any truth in the Owen rumours then signing Saha up for another year could be seen as a risk. Together with James Vaughan we would have 3 injury prone strikers on the books!(could be a reason for the clubs hesitance in extending his contract) Personally I would love to see a fit Saha strutt his stuff at Goodison for the next couple of years and it would be a crying shame for him to prove his fitness and then for us to lose him on a free.
