Saha (apparently fully fit) left out of the squad today. Tweeted this a few minutes ago.....

"It s coz im confident in my ability that im #gutted."

"I am not good enough. #Absolutelydestroyed"

Thoughts?

Moyes won't be too happy about this, but can understand his frustration. Cahill up front, ffs.

If Moyes has dropped him, and he's fit, then that rubs salt into the wounds created and opened up again by the sale of Becks/Yak and Yakubu's form today.

Who needs strikers, like? MIDFIELDERS EVERYWHERE YAY.

A very odd couple of tweets

As much as it pains me to see no recognised strikers in our starting eleven at home to Wigan, Cahill and Osman did really well last week. Saha (if fully fit - not sure that's possible) has to be in the squad?? What if Cahill gets injured?

All a bit bizarre

I tweeted him and told him to basically get real, but in a more polite way. You can't be out for ages then expect to walk in with hardly any match fitness. He is our most gifted forward for sure, but people have been fit and training hard during his latest injury. He has to be patient; we have a match in midweek he will undoubtedly be involved in.

Wigan at home. No place on the bench for him.

This is the most depressed I've felt about Everton for beards.

It Looks like Moyes is doing what he said yesterday or when ever it was and getting tough on players, leaving Neville out last week and saha this week it seems

He's not waltzing into the side though...he's not even made the bench. That's very poor.

But at the same time, if the people playing in his position aren't doing the business, aren't even recognised strikers then he should be playing. We've scored 3 goals in the league this season, 2 of which were penalties. We've picked up one point at home against teams like Villa and QPR.

Bottom line, If Saha is fit, he has to be playing. Same goes for Stracq, ideally in a 4-4-2. Although that could be too radical for Moyes. Either way, one recognised striker on the pitch please, whether that is Saha, Stracq or Vellios.

Stracq over Saha though? Mind boggles

Coleman walked straight into the team after only training for 5 days beforehand.

Saha has apparently been training for a while. Certainly longer than Seamus. It's all a bit odd really. He should be on the bench at least, surely?

Possibly a strom in a teacup, Vellios deserves his place on the bench for me - given his performences thus far, which is the opposite side of this, not to mention we have Carling Cup this week as well - so he will get a chance.

TBH, im annoyed hes mouthing of and moaning given his contract and on average about 10 games a season, no matter who you are you have to deserve your place and earn it, Sahas a great player but he shouldnt expect just to walk straight back into the team or the squad for that matter.

I've got little faith in Stracq after the whole Leicester trial shambles, but i suppose the fact he is an unknown quantity could make him quite an asset, initially. The mind boggles that a fit and able striker, probably the only capable one we have, isn't even included in the matchday squad.

Moyes will ultimately live and die by these decisions, and if we fail to score or fail to win today because of inadequacy in front of goal, he will have more questions to answer. Its why i'm baffled by peoples insistance that if not for Moyes "we wouldn't be where we are". Tosh.
