Everton striker Louis Saha has escaped uninjured after crashing his Ferrari on a country road in Cheshire.

The 32-year-old was driving in Wilmslow at 2045 GMT on Sunday evening when he lost control of the vehicle, Cheshire Police confirmed.

The Frenchman, who was alone, did not need hospital treatment.

The accident happened on the A538 Altrincham Road, near to where Cristiano Ronaldo crashed his Ferrari in January 2009.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said tno other vehicle was involved.

Saha played in Everton's 2-1 home win over Sunderland at Goodison Park on Saturday.

He signed for the Merseyside club in 2008 after four and a half years with Manchester United.

I must of missed the Sunderland goal. crap journos.

We were there for an hour after the match and Sunderland still hadn't scored then, so it must have been some time after 6pm they got their goal

He crashed a car at high speed and came away unscathed... but he regularly injures himself hopping around in training? Odd.

Glad he's okay though. Obviously.
