Do you guys think this competition is a complete joke? Its a big event in Africa and all anyone can think about is their club and nothing of the player.

I'm just fed up with people praying for him to 'come home'. He's playing for his home that actually qualified for its continents major cup competition, unlike one country which has been accused of not caring enough for playing for the countrys colours :angry:

I've actually been quite impressed with the action I've seen. The players have been very skillful and the games have been exciting and fairly played.

I've also enjoyed it a lot, its a great international tournament. I'd just like it if there was more respect shown to the tournament, the countries and the players involved in it. Its hard for me to take the defeat as well last night and all I can read is praise

respect is a two way street, nigeria showed some understanding and respect for the players club careers by allowing a slight extension to the players clubs with regards a cup game.

south africa showed no such understanding or respect and went straight for the sabre of fifa when it looked like pienaar wasnt due on time to the very second. and whats going on with benny mccarthy? proper respect for a competition? without the involvement of the star striker???winner of the uefa and champions league????? take ''respect'' and stick it up the arses of the [Poor language removed] that claim control of the south african footballing authority.
