The game was against Chelsea and I remember that the pitch-side microphones actually picked up the thud/crack of his skull - twasn't nice.

Horrible news this, feel sorry for him. Same for Cahill as well, bet he feels some sort of blame for it even though it was accident.

He's a good lad, massive shame for him footballing-wise, but a very lucky lad to have the chance to walk away from such an injury.

I expect he'll transition into coaching, and will be back at spurs in a non-playing capacity.

What a terrible end to a horrible situation.

Genuinely likeable bloke and playing player aswell. Hoping in time he can put his skills back into football in a coaching role if he’s keen to do that.

As mentioned above brilliantly handled by the medical team and thankfully he’s still alive!
