He was told he was coming on Saturday only for the injury to Baines. He's going away to Malta with England soon so he might not be available last 2 games but unsure if it's before or after City

their first game isnt until 9th may so id say if roberto wants him involved on saturday he would be ok.

Pretty sure when I first heard of him he was RS but he seems to be a convert to the blue cause nowadays.

However the RS equivalent to Ledson is a lad called Jordan Rossiter. He is a big blue and travels to our away games when he can.

Im almost 100% certain this lad is not and never has been a kopite. He is a massive, massive Evertonian from what I have heard. I've followed him on twitter for quite a while and there is nothing to suggest he has ever been anything other than a huge Evertonian, much like Ross Barkley. Similarly with Barkley, you always hear rumours that they were boyhood reds and whatever but as I say, I'm pretty much certain he is a huge Blue.

As for his footballing ability, I went to both the youth cup games at Goodison this season and he definitely looks a player. Interestingly enough, he actually seems like the kind of player who has become a bit of a dying breed in recent modern football in the sense that he is very good all-round. Nowadays you often get midfielders who are more specialised; deep-lying playmakers whose strength is passing, holding players whose strength is tackling/positioning or attacking-midfielders whose strength is getting between the lines and threading balls through to strikers. Ryan Ledson on the other hand looks as though can do a bit of everything and seems to be pretty decent at all of those facets. I think he is definitely more of a CM than a CAM though. He seems like he could be well suited to being one of the midfield three in a 4-3-3. I hate to make the comparison but the best comparison I can think of in terms of his style of play is Jordan Henderson (this season only, not the past few seasons when he's been utter [Poor language removed]). He has a very good engine, is good at passing and his tackling is fairly decent as well. Very excited to see the youngsters coming through in the near future!

Reckon he'll start a few games next season? Martinez seems to be impressed with him.

Why do people always go on about what side a young player used to support? As if it makes any odds to anything at all. They're all trying to make a way for themselves at a point when the majority are being dropped. Most couldn't give a toss about anything other than making it.

If he's any good I imagine he'll be out on loan for a season.

i dont remember many 16 yr olds being sent out on loan by anyone

He didn't get sent off in that game despite making this tackle later on, the first one.

After seeing those two clips, looks like we are bringing on young players developing the right ethos for derby games.

Add to that with Roberto we have a manager who can bring on the young players better than our EX did.

Glad the lad didn't get on against city, We have to remember the lad has been playing against youths and to put him up against yaya toure could set him back. Maybe let him play our carling cup games next year with EL we could afford to play some kids in the cup
