I actually agree with this.

IMO, given the reaction from non-muslims, more moderate muslims need to be seen do more to denounce Isis and religion based violence as a whole. I know that many have said that it is not what is Islam is about and that Islam is a religion of peace but, that is not enough, they need to acticvely do more. Many of my brain dead mates on facebook will need a lot more convincing that all muslims are not terrorists I am afraid and there is too much silence from within them.

IMO given the reaction from your 'moderate' Muslims, non-Muslims need to be seen to do more to stop blaming all Muslims and to stop spreading fear and hate. They need to be far more responsible in their reporting of world events and give more column inches to the condemnation of these atrocities by the Islamic community. Let me assure you, the greatest number of people on my facebook defending Muslims in all this is my non-muslim friends.

The few that are "Britain first type" are also very vocal in condemning them.

However, the muslims on my facebook are very quiet about the whole thing.

You seem to be trying to suggest that I am being disrespectful in my initial comments, but I am merely trying to point out an issue which has been raised by the media, academics, intellectuals, racists, muslims around the world and is right for discussion.

To be fair, the west actually does report many of them. In order to win public support for our actions, we even have reports in advance of committing them. But we in the west are different when we kill. Its not an atrocity when 'we' do it. We always have a worthy cause.
