So we can assume the plane was closely monitored, speed, flight course? Not difficult to gauge it would only be seconds of an incursion?
Believe a decision to shoot was made much prior to the incident to take this action should an incursion take place by Russia. Not the brightest of ideas seeing as it's Russia, unless of course there was promised support from external forces?
