Many, many more places to come I fear.

I wouldn’t sneer towards them so much as the majority of places in the country are in danger of falling to reform in the next election.

Particularly traditional left wing, working class towns.

And Labour only have themselves to blame. The writing was on the wall that this was coming.

The result didn`t surprise me in the slightest tbh.

The man in the street has had enough with the main stream political parties, as they feel they no longer represent them, which in turn leads to the likes of Reform gaining votes.

A lot of lads I drink with, the cabbies, the lads who work on the tools etc and a lot of the pensioners would all vote for Reform right now.

Talking to them means that sometimes you have to bite your tongue, but these are the people who are the traditional core Labour voters, who have become completely disillusioned with the current Labour party and are ripe for exploitation by the likes of Reform.

You multiply this across the country and it`s quite scary.

And it’s also NHS workers. Traditional Labour voters. Amongst people I know the vast majority are all going to vote reform at the next election. Mental but not surprising.

This is because they have managed to convince people that all their issues are being caused by immigration and people arriving here in a dinghy.

Housing Crisis - Immigration
Can't get a doctor's appointment- immigration
Can't find an NHS dentist - immigration
Long wait times in hospitals - immigration
Cuts to winter fuel allowance - blame it on asylum seekers being housed in hotels

I could go on...

Why is it that people seem to find it easier to punch down rather than up?

In a perfect world they wouldn't,but as mentioned in earlier posts there is now an avalanche of social media and if you can control the narrative you win the election. In saying that Labour under Starmer are doing a great job of shooting themselves in the foot. Starting government with Wardrobe Gate,played right into the hands of Reform and benefit cuts etc have only made things worse.

There is a very noticeable shift in day to day behaviour, openly controversial and abject racism is coming to the fore with each passing day. I can remember the Brixton riots, they were terrible and cost lives. What's coming feels much bigger and much nastier.

I called the Reform guy and his two mates the C word yesterday at the polling station.

Said I’m getting out of this area if you C’s get control.

Was rather proud of myself.

A guy I know heard it and was doubled over laughing.

Just heard they’ve taken Lancashire county council. It will be fun watching them causing mayhem.

I know exactly what they will do with the Councils they now control...either absolutely nothing or make everything worse and then blame it on Central Government when everyone starts complaining.
