Dunno but we've made some odd deals, look at when Farhad got El Ghazi just too free up some of Villa's wages, that was a bizzare one too.
Ruben has played less then 100 games in the last 6 years but seems to move around a lot, no doubt with a bag of money not far behind.

I get why we loaned him, he’s another option at LB. The issue I have is that our first choice left back is one of the worst footballers in the league, so why not give this lad a chance.

It's required by law that we have at least 1 pointless loan per season. Vinagre, El Khazi, King, Gardner, Mangala, Traore etc.etc.
