He can't play right side, is all left-foot and don't think he would ever be considered down the right.

We thought we'd got a great player when he first joined, the year we won promotion from the Championship, was backup to Barry Douglas and exciting when he was sparingly used.

Didn't really kick-on though, made 30-40 appearances over the next few years but didn't become the outstanding wing-back we thought he could become. Eventually just got worse.

Good pace, can beat a player and most definitely an attack-minded full-back, could even play LM if needed, but quite weak and positionally not great. Also be concerned that moves to Olympiacos and Sporting CP haven't really worked.

We were lucky that Sporting CP bought him as there were a few triggers to make it permanent, mainly on appearances, but the one that actually made it happen was that they qualified from their Champions League group. So even though he barely played for them (was meant to be Nuno Mendes replacement) they were still forced to buy him.

Still young though so could rediscover his best form and low-risk for you as it's only an option.
