One of the as yet, un-considered effects of City's takeover is the increased likelihood of Liverpool's takeover by the Dubai investors, and a significantly increased budget made available to them, allowing them to compete more readily with City and Chelsea.
I would have considered that Gillett and Hicks were delighted by the City takeover, given that both know that they'll have to sell.
That being the case, Arsenal would be the most vulnerable, IMO.

rs for sure, as i said in another thread, it will be a 'mare for them or the arse,
chelsk's day will come when the russian gets bored and then they can go back to fighting out a relegation battle at the bottom of the championship, like not that long ago tbh.
for the shoite, not qualifying and having a good run in cl (i'm not sure the prize money is so great if you dont get to 1/4's) would be the signal for a lot of players to be sold to pay for them in the 1st place as they couldnt maintain so much debt without cl.
same for the arse really as they are already in a position where wenger is having to sell players to pay for the stadium, did he say he has to find 23 mill a year for that alone? now this is a club thats been very successful in the prem, had a rigid wage structure, takes massive gate receipts & makes a lot from corporate boxes, yet the cost of building a new ground (which is of the standard we should be aiming for) it seems is completely restricting them.
maybe there'll be another arab/middle eastern gentleman who wants to take on the citeh lot, in the fairness of competition though he would have to take on something similar,a sleeping giant, overshadowed bytheir more decorated neighbours for years. when they all get into it the teams will be like hands in a game of poker, as they play out their little game for quedos and bragging rights at the next camel race.

the emirates is a quality stadium, but its been built in london - there is some of the cost right there in the post code. that and the manouvres at the top in terms of selling, ownership and all the furor around levy and co.

I've heard a bit of talk about Arsenal having a few financial issues - could they be sliding, even with all that money coming in from the stadium etc?
