how anyone can have watched RS and spurs this season and have them as favourites is beyond me. spurs aren't even playing their best team, they'll get a bad beating from besiktas tonight.

i'm intruiged by a villareal tie, i have no idea of they're any good or not. they were in the second division 2/3 seasons back?

...I actually backed Shaktar at this stage when they won it and got 80-1. I can't claim much credit as it was Little Eggs who advised so I gave him half the winnings. There might be value in this years market, as you say the favourites don't look anything special.

How far will we get ??
How far do we need to go for it to be a decent run, being frst season back in it and Bobbys Euro debut ??

For me, Qtrs would be a decent showing.

For me, we really need to highlight the terrible Zara crisis being faced in Denmark. If we can do anything to highlight their plight, that would be a result for me.

If I recall, the Russian season stops until about March now which means that none of the players are going to be even remotely match fit which is why they have such long odds

But dont they have a really got recent history of going far in this competition ???

Can't really remember them ever doing especially well in it (QF/SF etc)?

Got to admit, I would like us to avoid the Spanish teams in it (especially Sevilla) but other than that would happily take any team. My choice would be Monchengladbach

I'm still confident we can go all the way. Destroying Ajax, Feyenoord or PSV in the next round would give me great joy. Failing that Borussia MG would also be a very pleasant draw.

Realistically - winners.

We have the players, and have prioritised it without question. I have seen the likes of Fulham and Middlesborough make the final recently.
You always need a bit of luck, as does any team in a cup competition. But we can win this trophy.
