Ah the round of 32 - I have very good memories of the Brann game. I was watching it in a student bar with some fit Japanese exchange students. They weren't there for the game but I managed to convince them that Brann were the champions of Europe three years running.

Everton won 6-1 that night of course so they were mightily impressed.

The Lisbon game made me want to throw up though, the minute we conceded in the Goodison leg I thought to myself that taking a 2-1 to Portugal would not be good enough for a Moyes side.... I was right.
