And none of the European sides played each other

In the weaker half with on the whole weaker teams and an out of sorts Spain

Spain vs Russia, Croatia vs Denmark which wasn't bad, Swe vs Swz

Hardly that surprising then and just maybe illustrating how difficult the other half of the draw is and why England should have done all they could to land in the weaker half?
