Strange post considering you were still expecting Belgium to win.

Because I have a sense of humour and found it funny?

Laughing at the desperation to have a pop at me - so desperate in fact that you all deliberately choose to ignore certain posts over others and disregard context.

Did you really think I was 'having a go' at davek there? Seriously???

I just think it's weird for people to lump all of the blame on him when they were losing, and then when they turned it around try to give him no credit. Two of the subs scored. Subs made by the manager not by the players.

Weird obsession people have with trying to discredit the man. Losing on Friday would be no mark of shame btw.

Subs he shouldn't have needed to make, they had enough fire power to be comfortably ahead, it was a thow of the dice gamble that eventually paid off

Personally I thought Japan were fantastic. You won't see a purer struck ball than the one for the second goal. If that was Ronaldo everyone would be creaming about what a world class strike it was.

I think Belgium were completely caught off guard with the pressing and frankly good passing football Japan played.

Having a go at him? Not really, you just ripped him too early and it backfired spectacularly, even with the arse-covering post after it. No one's having a pop, come on, you can't throw your toys out the pram as soon as it comes back a bit.

Absolutely, their naivety was their undoing in the end, ran themselves into the ground

It's probably been mentioned before, but would it be a daft idea to bring one or two of those Japanese players to Everton; God knows we need some spark, some energy and creativity and those lads have that in spades.

Belgium looked done and out of ideas, their saving grace was they were playing a team with the average height of an under 16's side. Take away that and what do they have left? Sure Lukaku should have scored 3 from the chances he had but if he can't bring his 'A' game against Japan he is surely going to struggle against Brazil also.
