He did not boss that game... he was crap offensively .. he did put a shift in and won countless headers defensively ... this is why I used to get annoyed with him... because when he was crap offensively it was like playing with ten men. But today he kept going and contributed in other ways and this will buy him time with supporters whenever he has bad days ...

Crap offensively? He played well overall and was man of the match! Looked dangerous and used the ball well I thought. He doesn't need to " buy time" from supporters, indeed it is this attitude from fans like you that will make him think I'm off there's no pleAsing this shower. Can't stand this over expectation from him as if he is supposed to perform miracles every week, he played well, as he increasingly has this season let's appreciate him. He certainly doesn't need to buy time from me.

Spot on. Some of our fans are ridiculous and act in a similar way to the football pundit beauts who don't know their arses from their elbows.

Sell him.

Tbh getting a bit tired of Ross every week now. Either he is playing crap or he does one good thing to raise hope with him over and over again.

He will be 29 and there will still be the same conversations on here about him. Similar experience levels or more than some young English players who have developed and reached the levels Ross has failed to get to.

The team would be better off without him. Doesn't matter how many 'chances' the stats sat he creates, it's the amount of good chances he fails to create by trying to outrun the defence that should matter.

No, just no.

In two minds here, not sure if this is a complete steaming pile of horse manure, or a brilliant wind up, because it sounds so convincing and made me laugh especially the last paragraph - so well done there! Now honestly, is this serious or a wind up?

Any fans still on his back need to be blasted off into space where no one can hear their tedious moaning.

tell you what though mate, how good would it be just floating around Space for a while and taking in the view.

As long as someone is topping me up with oxygen and I can take a toilet break every once in a while, I'd love to be floating aimlessly for a day or so and taking in some of the fantastic sights.

Nice write up in the BBC Sport website...

When his goal came - and it was his goal, and should not have been credited to Ben Mee for trying to do his job and block the shot - Barkley deserved it. Precisely why the experienced Mark Clattenburg had to caution the player for celebrating his goal with the fans, bearing in mind the week he's had, I don't know. It seemed grossly unfair.

Was Clattenburg so blithely unaware of the sheer thrill his goal and performance would have meant to Barkley under the circumstances? Well, for what it's worth, Barkley has shown himself to be a real professional, in the true sense of the word.
