Ross Barkley

Ross played more like a evertonian yesterday and his game was better for it, hope he keeps that passion up. Well played Ross ;)

That could be the key going forward.
There are 5 or 6 very strong sides in the league. Having Barkley and Davies, 2 fabulous players who are also fans of the club might help give us an edge.

The top of the league will be even tighter in the next couple of seasons.
I think we can get amongst it.

Wonder how his end of season stats will compare with all those England midfielders that are apparently better than him. I'm sure he'll be miles behind Henderson Lallana Delph Dier Wilshere Oxlade Chamberlain Lol.

I'll put my money on him being statistically the best attacking mid in England (again) and the media spinning some nonsense reason why he's not ready to play for England (again)

In the entire league only 5 current players (Payet gone) play more key passes per game than Ross.

Of those 5 only Ozil has a higher pass completion %.

In other words he tries more risky passes and completes more of them than almost any player around.

Yet ask the average fan and they'll say he gives the ball away too much and has no vision.

If Ozil had played a backheel throughball assist social media would have had a collective spaff. As it is, everyone's just talking about if Barkley was being 'classless' by celebrating before scoring.

Anyway, I'm happy if he's kept away from Southgate's inevitable failure.

They wouldn't be saying that if he did it for England...

Alli's scored 11 league goals already.

Loved his goal and his assist for Rom but what I loved the most him putting in some crunching tackles.

I am sure Ronald went home and thought, am doing a good job with the lad

Both great young players and those stats back up nicely the difference in the 2 styles, ross is all about assisting his teammates to score and Alli is all about winning the ball giving it and bombing into the box.

Yeah Alli is playing insanely well and is a very very good player. Just because they're both young powerful English attacking midfielders with good technique though, everyone constantly tries to compare the two. To be fair they played more similar positions in recent seasons but as they mature, Ross is going deeper and Alli further forward.
