Barkley done pretty well for me lately in games,hes actually running at players at the min,instead of jogging on the spot or not doing as many turns and twists on the ball without moving,it seems like davies been in the team has had a positive inpact on Barkley for me

The whole team is more mobile now and they all look much better for it. Ross is at his best driving forward with the ball at his feet.
Last year he was more often than not giving little short passes back and forward with no threat what so ever.
For those who Think Ross could not learn, he followed Martinez's instructions to the letter.
He has changed his good game style again this year to suit the new system an looking really good.

If he'd just rolled the ball square for Lukaku for the two shots he dragged wide, he'd have probably had 2 assists though. Having the awareness to pick up on those less obvious but still important opportunities to turn a half chance into a gilt-edged one is the difference between him and the approaching/world class players when he's playing like this.

Yep, sized up a few of their midfielders a couple of times and made them look stupid. Cabaye in particular got turned about three times in ten seconds at one point.

He is improving though.

Yeah, he's getting back to the place where he can start getting in those positions multiple times a game. Once that happens he'll be more calm as it's more common, and will make the right decision more often. It's all good.

Best performance for a while. Did help he was up against Cabaye who is hapless off the ball in his old age.
