Ross Barkley

I have high hopes of him having a great season. The work ethic has been there plus the end product.

We should be solid at the back so if Barkley and Lukaku can fire for us then we will finish in a good position.

ross seems to get badly affected during a game when he loses the ball, makes the wrong pass, fails to score a sitter

instead of brushing it off and moving on his entire match is affected thereafter and he continues to make the wrong decision

its almost like a domino effect

i just hope everton have got decent psychologists in place who can give him the support he needs to develop into a world class talent rather than let his talent get frustrated.

It's bry keeps bullying him, he's an animal

“We have a sorry history of marginalising flair players. It’s been going on for decades. Alan Hudson, Rodney Marsh, Worthy (Frank Worthington), Stan Bowles, Matt Le Tissier, to name a few – not one of them made it to double figures in England appearances. That’s a scandal." - Fat Sam

Then proceeds to not pick barkley for the squad and doesn't even start Ali who is the only other flair player

BUT LALLANA DO LAD

Its all a matter of opinion, but seriously watching that game yesterday England had one player on the pitch who could actually go past a man (Sterling pace wise). The rest just passed it to death. I'm not saying Ross is an automatic starter but surely good enough for a squad place (coming off the bench etc). He can actually beat a man. So offers something different down the middle? Not that we as Everton fans should worry. But its a shame for the lad.

Ross' decision making is not the issue.

He looks for a forward pass in order to create something - to score a goal or provide an assist.

As opposed to the dross side-ways stuff served up by England players.

Genuinely - it's a lazy excuse that people buy into. It's a total non-issue.

I don't mind Big Sam - but him not picking Barkley is ridiculous.

Agree but the execution of his decision making is often what lets him down.

This for me is part of the reason the myth of him giving the ball
Away a lot exists.

Statistically he loses the ball an almost identical percentage of times as Ozil & silva.

It just so happens that most of the time Ross gives it away it is preceded by him roasting someone or a great passage of play which ends with him not quite getting the final ball correct & the opportunity to hurt the opposition is lost.

Hence the lost oppurtunity sticks in people minds more & also often makes the highlights package which most of the lazy pundits only watch.

Yep I agree.

It's not decision making though as you said - it's just his execution of it
