I can well understand why Evertonians prefer for Barkley not to get picked, when every little thing he does wrong gets publicly jumped on by dinosaurs like Hodgson - and now Allardyce, who having previously bemoaned the ostracising at national level of flair players, drops a raw and exciting flair player at his first opportunity, while players like that slack-jawed neanderthal, Henderson, get a free pass every fooking game.

The season just started, and he has already scored a couple of goals (call them flukes, but they were well placed free kicks nonetheless). He also has an assist and has created several good chances for his teamates, so let's see if he continues to produce or if he falls off like he does every year. He has been a loyal blue, and he has worked his ass off under Koeman. It is a good sign.
