He was a giant today. Been crying out for a true blue to be making so many assists and chances for years. If he can do it in the bigger games too and lead us to silverware he'll go down as our greatest Premier League Player.

Certainly seems the harsh lessons from RK are working - another mature performance and finally some consistency.

...as @bluestevon kept reminding me, 'Koeman has invested a lot of time in Barkley'. I have to say I had my doubts as to whether the manager was a fan but it seems like his investment is starting to pay off. Hoping it's not a false dawn, I expect he'll be deservedly back in the next England squad. If he keeps this form up and signs a new contract we might have a more complete player on our hands.

Like or rate Koeman as a manager or not, i think one thing is indisputable, he wouldn't waste time and effort on a player he didn't think was worth it, yeah it could have broken Ross the way he dealt with him this season, but IF it would have then all it would have shown uis that he would never have had the mentality to get the very top anyways, NOW thankfully it seems barkley has really taken the challenge and criticsm on board and has come out the other side looking like the player we all hoped he could become one day.

the last few months is the first time i've seen barkley and really thught he can become a absolutely top quality 'complete' midfielder, massive credit to koeman IMO

Wonderfull footy player, best midfielder we have had since we won the league, joy to watch.
He's become much more rounded and now showing a level of consistency and decision making I always hoped, rather than believed, would come with maturity and good management.

His fitness and confidence are on such different level than the end of last season that its hard to believe its the same player.

I'm so pleased for the lad as you could see he was shot a year ago.
