I know but he was poor today for his high standards. It was like a bad Apple today the bad passing.

Yep. By far and away his worst game for us. Needs someone else with legs in with him though I think. Barry is done.

The kid is world class, at getting himself marked for the whole game. Watch him run from one hull player to another to mark himself out of the game.

what a surprise. almost as if he is a footballer if he has some movement around him. little like when macca was playing a fortnight ago, or a couple of years ago.

gareth barrys only role going forward should be to captain cup sides.

No. They get stick because they play like gash. I don't expect a Zidane performance every (or any) time Barkley steps out onto the pitch, but I DO expect him to be able to do the basics well, and most of the time he overcomplicates the game to the extent that he can't even do that.

No he doesn't....just another over critical review on Barkley

He took his goal well, that's it.

I am like anyone else I want him to do well and have backed him in the past, but the lad is simply not good enough. Off the top of my head, He is lazy, has horrendous decision making, goes missing in games, as soon as he gets it he wants rid of it, any 50:50 he loses because he has no desire, he can't finish, his final ball is nowhere near good enough, and it's all ok because he is young and he is a blue.

(Not kneejerk, fed up of the last 4/5 years of him)

I actually think the getting rid of the ball and losing the 50s is down to injuries he's indured, particularly the leg break

I'm so desperate for him to succeed. I've never seen such a confidence based player, you could see in the second half he started to relax and was starting to make things happen, too many times this season he's looked terrified of doing anything wrong so invariably stops and looks for a safe pass/backwards pass. He's at his best when he's lying deep with space to run into.
