Because the media ask him about RB every 4 seconds. Because he's young and English he's supposed to tell them what a great talent he is. Instead he keeps telling the truth and the people that think you need to be undying loyal to academy graduates get their knickers in a knot.

Yep everyone of the squad needs that boot up the arse but Ross could do with the hardest one.
The promise we thought he showed 5 seasons ago has faded so badly he is virtually unrecognisable, hopefully with some nurturing we may see him become the player we all want him to be.

....I don't hate the lad. I'd love him to succeed but it's looking increasingly likely we need to bring somebody in to provide what he's failing to do.

...I think the lad is big enough to get the best out of himself, Joey. You suggest playing him deeper is now the solution, just put him in there and we'll have a super player. Somehow I doubt it. I also wonder if he'll come close to the success and longevity Barry has had in his career.

Barkley has had enough excuses made for him but the truth is he's continually failed to positively impact games. I'd be chuffed if he does but I fear RK has found him out. Be interesting if there is a top coach out there who wants him, I'm not aware of any.

I think Ross got dragged into the England set-up too early and that turned his head a bit.

He showed flashes in the last game and I'd definitely keep him.

Get Sigurdsson on board and he can instill some Nordic knowhow.

...funny as it might sound, I think he moves great with a football at his feet but struggles to efficiently get around without it.
