Ross Barkley

He's 23 in a few months, he's almost past the point of being ''potential''. It's time he starts maturing as a player and actually makes his mark on games on a more consistent basis. We all want the lad to do well for the club especially as he is a local lad but if we have aspirations of European football we can't be carrying passengers.

Let's hope he gets a bollocking at half time and comes out and runs the game.

...but he's supposed to be our main man and he consistently fails to deliver. He should be 8 out of 10 every week, not now and then. The header he missed is symptomatic, he keeps putting his headers wide of the right post.
I know that mate, but the team as a whole hasn't mustered a 5 amongst them today.

....we need our very best players to rescue us when most needed. Gerrard did it for the Reds, Barkley continually fails to do it for us. If you're saying the team haven't achieved it, that's ok but your saying Barkley is the same as all the others.

I am.
Not denying he needs to take ownership and charge, but that said, it's 11 players on the pitch.
And no single player on that pitch has performed today.
