There is a time and a place to be greedy and twice today I thought he should have put in lukaku and lukaku himself was well upset with him. But like I've already said he played a hell of a lot better today and I want him to be the player we all know he can be. Is that so bad? And yes he was a lot better than mirallas today.
 

For context, the BT commentators were talking about him as a contender for MOTM, and the Guardian writer wrote:

"Barkley has been excellent today, possibly the best player on the pitch." and "When Barkley plays like this, with such penetrative simplicity, you can see why so many managers get excited about him.".

Only 'ok' for some though unless he scores a worldy.

He did exactly what was needed today which was keep things simple and he was heavily involved in the vast majority of our attacking play.

Just what the doctor ordered IMO - a goal would have been nice and he went close a few times.
