Would be a shame if he didn't make the Euro's squad because at the end of the day he is still a boss player, and deserves to be on the big stage, my only worry for him is, Hodgson is creaming to get Wilshire on the plane, meaning someone may have to make way, Henderson being injured may be his get out of jail card though.

statistically he's had a decent season, could have been a very good season had he maintained his form. still only 22 though ? gerrard, lampard and co weren't setting the world alight at that age.

he's been pretty dire for quite some time now though, I'm hoping it's down to fitness and management rather than his talent level stalling. He's not developed that well over the past 2 seasons, i still rate his first season as his best... seemed like he had no fear back then.

hopefully he kicks on next season with a new manager, needs to show a lot more passion as well and develop some form of defensive instinct, I'm not saying he has to grind it out in midfield but at the moment he's basically useless when the other team have the ball.
